First of all let me tell you how much I love gpodder on my N900: I adore it!
It's one of the best applications ever created for the N900. Since I use
Youtube a lot, I've got a lot of subscriptions, so many subscriptions that I
can't even recall how many channels I've subscribed to! However, I'm not always
in front of my laptop, and due to that I don't alwsays access Youtube. So I've
been waiting months and months for this to be implemented into Gpodder:
Youtube integration. I know, I know, it can already grab videos from
youtube...however, what I mean is that, it would be nice if I could put my
Youtube username and password in Gpodder and Gpodder imports all my subscribers
(hence, the subscription videos). At the moment, I have to manually add
subscribers from Youtube, but that's a tedious work so I've never managed to
finish the work. It would really make my day and my N900 experience if I could
have that option, to have ALL my Youtube subscription videos all in Gpodder, oh
that would be heaven! I know, it may be something complicated to implement, but
I just wanted to let you guys know...if it can be done, great! Obviously there
are the implications: downloading so many videos (as in my case) comports
paying a lot for internet usage, but the N900 sucks a lot from the net, reason
why it's ideal to have unlimited internet usage (which I have). It could be put
in the disclaimer or something like that...but that's just something to bear in
mind, I really think that full Youtube integration would be awesome. Please
keep me updated on this, I'd really love to see that in the next upgrade. But
until then, thank you for your support and for this great application, much
appreciated indeed!
