Summary: Allow a cmd_download_complete script to rename a
download
Product: gPodder
Version: 2.7+ (Git "master" branch)
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: feature request
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
I often wish to do some kind of processing on my audio files that change the
files' format, for example to recode it from m4a format (not understood by my
MP3 player) into ogg format. Because of the format change it would be good if
I could change the file name of the gPodder-mainted file.
Perhaps gPodder could open a file descriptor before running the hook command
and interpret data written to it as a new file name? Or it could just parse
the scripts stdout and look for a token such as "RENAME:<newfilename>\n".
