Summary: gPodder 2.7 behaves very strangely when trying to sync
between devices
Product: gPodder
Version: 2.7
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
* I can try to give more information later on as questions are asked, but right
now I can only explain what I observe.
I have two devices that I am trying to sync (including episode status). On the
second device, I installed gPodder 2.7. When it prompted me, I logged in with
my username/password, and told it to retrieve all of my subscriptions. It
successfully did, and then it proceeded to "merge episode actions".
After a while, everything finished, but then I realized that my episode
statuses were not sync'd with my gpodder.net account. I also noticed that while
gPodder is open (after attempting to sync) my hard drive is making extremely
loud noises and is working very hard.
When I "Quit" gPodder, only the interface disappears, but the process is still
running, and the hard drive is still working. Running "top" reveals that
gpodder is using up most of the CPU.
Once I "pkill gpodder" the hard drive noise disappears.
The same issue happens on openSUSE 11.3 and Ubuntu 10.04, so it's not related
to the distro.
I can provide more information as needed.
