If you use mtpfs, you should be able to use the "filesystem-based MP3 player"
integration in gPodder. If you are using the normal MTP support, just make sure
that you have pymtp et.al. installed, and make sure you are NOT using mtpfs.
gPodder will use libmtp/pymtp to directly access the MTP device. Usually it
works out of the box when you only have one MTP device attached.
