Has the same issue of PyGTK always trying to install and never getting past that step.... until now! Details: - Win 7 x64 - English - no python was installed Initially I installed gPodder 3.0.1 and didn't know I needed a separate install of Python. I installed Python 2.7.2 x64 and that didn't seem to fix anything. I attempted all the tricks in other posts about changing/adding registry values and adding the python path to the global PATH variable. None of those fixed my issue So I uninstalled all Python files, gPodder 3.0.1, and undid all the manual changes to registry and PATH. Today I decided to try again but to install Python and PyGTK before installing gPodder. One thing I noticed was at the PyGTK site it said it used the 32-bit Python interpreter. So instead of installing the x64 version of Python 2.7.2 I installed the 32-bit version instead (and selected to install for All Users to a custom path). BAM, everything worked first try! gPodder didn't ask to install anything, it just loaded up. So I'm not sure if it was successful because I installed the 32-bit Python instead or if it was something else. Hope this might help others get it working in the mean time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
