Yes, you are right
I compared both builds with "make -n" and see, that *.dbg1.o files are 
archived first

   ar r bin/blib.a bin/multiboot.dbg1.o bin/undi.dbg1.o bin/undinet.dbg1.o 
bin/undiload.dbg1.o bin/undirom.dbg1.o .....

A collegue brought me docking station with integrated serial port. I am 
now waiting for a female-female adapter.
