#553: wx and tcltk GUI: changing default GUI returns error ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Reporter: hamish | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: 6.4.0 Component: Python | Version: 6.4.0 RCs Resolution: | Keywords: wxgui gis.m Platform: MSWindows XP | Cpu: x86-32 ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Comment (by hamish):
same thing happens with 6.4.0rc4 native wingrass install. the release notes say that the tcltk gui is unavailable, but I *can* start it if I start in the msys mode, close the wxGUI and type "gis.m" on the command line. weirdly to access maps in spearfish PERMANENT from user1 I have to type in the map name manually with @PERMANENT, in the avail map listing the PERMANENT mapset is closed. some space could be saved by not shipping d.m with native wingrass (it also starts, but without xmons it is useless) strangely "g.gui tcltk" from the msys command line does not work. (and the GRASS> prompt is still ridiculously long for an 80 col terminal) Hamish -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/553#comment:3> GRASS GIS <http://grass.osgeo.org>
