One question - Does the region change work properly for wxnviz in grass7?
In grass6.4.3 it is necessary to quit entire wxgui to get the region change to
apply to wxnviz,
but based on the discussions with Anna this can be fixed in grass7?
(I just got back from europe so it will take me a day or too to catch up and
get some time to test).

I agree that tcl/tk nviz can be removed from trunk - I have been using wxnviz
exclusively for the research and edu work
for couple months now and I did not see a reason to go back to old nviz for
anything so far.
