Probably the d.vector.thematic script can be copied from 6.4 and run in 6.3 with little or no modification.

This was done in 6.4, so it is not available in winGRASS, yet, which is based on 6.3. Just replacing the script doesn't work, either as it use the
fs= parameter of v.db.connect which wasn't introduced until 6.4.

So, another strident call for the a 6.4 winGRASS.
