Hi, Has anyone heard of a successful installation of GRASS (and associated toolchain) on an Android phone? They run linux, but probably lack on-board resources for hosting an entire development toolkit. However... it seems like it would be possible to use a cross-compiler to generate a statically-linked set of binaries (or pile of required .so files) for this platform...
Some ideas here: http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=Compiling_for_Android http://www.kbrandt.com/2009/06/how-to-cross-compile-the-bash-shell-for- android-15.html http://android-tricks.blogspot.com/2009/02/hello-world-c-program-on-using- android.html It would be pretty cool to get GRASS, or something like GRASS running on Android devices.
