I wanted to chime in on this discussion since it has a little to do
with the process I used to generate the length data for the Pickle
Pavilion our firm did a few months ago. If I follow, it seems like we
will soon be able to create output lists directly to a post-it (tm),
essentially eliminating the need to export data to excel... is that
right? We will be able to export simple data list to these post-it
files, however we will be unable to write conditional statements or
expressions inside the post-it file to further modify the data...
correct? Any idea when the new release of these features will
happen? If it helps, I can post a step-by-step tutorial (very
detailed) on how to create the same ceiling we made in our project.
It goes through and explains how to create the text-tag data and
attach that tag to objects in the scene (in this case, the vertical
fishing line). The tutorial isn't quite ready, but I hope to be
finished early next week. I will post the tutorial and all the source
files on my website, http://www.liftarchitects.com
