i have generated a grid of uv points from a predefined surface. What
I would like to do is be able to have the points move based on the
position of attractor points that i can manipulate. I have seen and
understand the tutorial about patterning circles based on multiple
attractor points- this changes the size of the radius of circles
according their distance from specified attractor points. I want to
add another parameter to this. For example, I want the center points
of the circles (or the points of the grid) to move 25% of their
existing distance towards the attractor points, which can be manually
moved around and manipulated in rhino.
This is the basic question i have, but further...
-is this possible with more than one attractor point, ie. for grid
points to move 25% of their existing distance only towards the
attractor point that they are closest to, or to an averaged location
in between two attractor points?
-is it possible for me to keep the grid points that lie on the edges
of the predefined surface fixed so that the pattern I apply to the
manipulated grid will fit nicely within the edges of the surface?

thanks so much for anyones help! this is a great site
