Isn't there a way to import the vector into another ALREADY EXISTING location, so we would only need to create one lat-long location and import all files there. Then there would be no need to keep deleting locations. Or the location option in v.in.ogr will always try to create a new location?

Carlos, Thank you for your help. It sounds like I might as well write a simple script because anytime I would want to do this, I would need to create a new location. Either I would end up with a bunch of lat-lon locations, or I would need to delete the one I just created afterwards. So, I might as well write a simple script to handle this process and do the clean-up.
