Hi Jochen, I don't know how you'd like people to drop a line, but I'd say I'm in an extremely similar boat to Joe. it feels to me as if docs are... lacking. to be a bit euphemistic. the only info I find on the site basically says 'install mongodb, install elasticsearch, add this repo, install the graylog-server (preappologies, I always want to make that A an E), and bob's your uncle, have fun. I'd expect to have a minimally functional server after such a course, but I'm pretty far from it after a couple restarts from a fresh install. the web interface always gives me some sort of error message about being unable to connect or in my current state I get tons of repeated log messages, then a couple exceptions thrown and some part of the server seems to throw an error and some portion of something seems to crash. the ova file is a great way to get a first look at the file, but it seems like it'd be far more useful to bit deeper understanding of how all these things are linked together. are there notes available about how the ova VM was assembled/configured? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Graylog Users" group.
