I'm having the same problem. I run the installer and all indicators are that it installs correctly. After Firefox restarts, there is no greasemonkey icon lower right and in the addons list no greasemonkey addon installed.
Madepally - I'm not sure I understand you suggestion about a new profile. Are you suggesting I create a new user on the machine? If so, I have good and bad news. This machine has multiple users and when I install it to the other user everything works fine. Or do you mean there's a way to create a new profile within this machine user account?
