The people who usually work on Gm might be on vacation or busy or ill, so please be patient.
Gm has worked for me on all versions of Firefox, as well, so I'm not sure what to tell you. I just updated to version 3.5.5, so you might try that, although it sounds like it is something else that is causing your problems. It's possible that your Firefox install or profile is corrupted. Try creating a new Firefox profile and only install Greasemonkey as an addon for that and see if it works then.
