Ok, sorry. I forgot, the toolbar button is only in the latest GM beta,
which is not finished and not released.
The tools menu is always there as ever. Depending on your platform, the
menu bar might be more difficult to get to in Firefox 4 than before.
Right now I have the new firefox tab>add ons>extensions (it shows gm
enabled) I even disabled it and reenabled to see if that would change
anything and it did not.
Greasemonkey has its own enabled status that can be toggled without
restarting the browser. One day, for Firefox 4, we might use the new
"restartless extensions" feature to make the Extension enable/disable
button provide this instead, but for now and all history, they're
separate for non-restart purposes.
In general, though, we're probably approaching this from the wrong
angle. Start from a known state please, so we can understand what's
going on:
