ONE DAY SEMINAR ON WATER RESOURCES WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON PLACHIMADA.
Date: 11th November 2006 (Saturday)
Venue: Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering, Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram - 695018.
The forenoon session will have papers by experts on water resources of Kerala and the after noon session will be exclusively on Plachimada, highlighting the recently held study on ground water depletion and its impact on Plachimada, conducted by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai and team, sponsored by Vikas Adhyayan Kendra, Mumbai.
The seminar will be followed by screening of the film Thousand days a dream, a documentary on plachimada Directed By P.Baburaj &C.Saratchandran.
There is no delegate fee for attending the seminar. Working lunch and tea will be provided at the venue.
Pappanamcode is on National Highway 47, 4 kms away from Trivandrum Central Railway Station and Thampanoor bus stand, in the Kanyakumari route. Buses from Thampanoor bus stand are available every 5 minutes.
