I wonder how would it be possible for the organizers to invite people like Advani, Arun Shourie and such people with clearly known,openly expressed& articulated commitments against muslims, dalits, and other sections of the powerless & marginalised of this country into the "summitofthepowerless".
Do they consider that these rabid hate-mongers' sermons, likely to be delivered so condescendingly and tongue in cheek, will contribute anything except lending some degree of decency and legitimacy to their ideology (never mind that anyway, has started the journey to the dust-bin of history)? Why didn't  they invite Sudarsan, Bal Thakre,Uma Bharathi and the people of Dharm Sansad,Bajrang Dal etc. as well ,which could have equally served the  same purpose?
 
One cannot help the  wishful thought that the organizers of such summits had at least the sense of excluding the people of the "sangh parivar" from any platform really meant for meaningful  deliberations on power and powerlessness in political and social life in this democracy...that the principled avoidance of display of solicitude towards people  with known propensity of spreading hate and blood-thirst, especially in the wake of shameless screams (by them) to expediate execution of death warrant to Muhamed Afsal , who is understood by many law-abiding citizens of this country( on the basis of hard evidences recently made accessible to any concerned citizen, thanks to the democratic initiative) as one falsely implicated in the gruesome & tragic crime of attack on the Indian Parliament.
