Yes the critique should not have confined to just Manorama. [ had one or two interesting responses ]Manorama is a social institution and it is part of various processes, That understanding is also important. However their role being dominant if note hegemonic needs sharper evaluation. in fact we have only one sort of journalism ie manorama. yes they come in different forms. Desabhimani is only 'red ' manorama ....the other day one title -big one claimed that the govt could save some crores for the students through the negotiated settlement of the self financing issue! not in Manorama but in deshabhimani.
