Dear Friend,

I have a few doubts about this tribunal. The endorsing organisations are
supposed to be not connected with World Bank. But then why there is an
exception for Tata Institute of social Sciences? The website lists TISS as
an endorsing organisation in the tribunal. But to be an endorsing
organisation, others have to prove that they don't have any connection with
world bank. TISS has done many consultancies and running projects with and
by the World Bank. Read an example among many

*"Keeping this in mind, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has
resolved to introduce and build the notion of accountability in its course
curriculum. This will ensure that accountability will impact students and
trainees who are associated with TISS's outreach programmes. These outreach
programmes, in turn, will impact government officials and other
functionaries associated with developmental schemes. It was with this
intention that TISS, with the World Bank's association, decided to pilot the
Community Score Card, a social accountability tool, in selected villages in
Maharashtra" http://www.sasanet.org/documents/LearningNote/Maharashtra.pdf.*

Is it another farce? Or a mistake in the website? Claims are good, but t I
feel that he claims which one make should be factually correct. Looking
forward to hear on this.
