I feel it is completely out of context. The Terms "innocent", "escape from disturbing questions" is not at all there in any of my posts. What disturbs me is the generalisations like unsubscriptions are due to the debates on dalit/muslim issues. And In this forum i didn't felt No one (including you) raised the "disturbing questions of cast & gender" other than the Forwarded mail by Jenny & christy (both of them are in this list) . "Disturbing questions" is always subjective. but in the last month thred it came as a claim like "916 gold" > one doubt: is ne0-nomads beyond the reach of thse power structurs and > therefor above caste/class/gender questions? Neo-nomads is an emerging idea. Any critiques to Information society & network society is applicable to neo-nomads too, because it is created by the Digital wire-less technologies. It uses the same logic of "email is the cheapest communication technology" (if you have a computer & internet connection worth Rs 20000, and you have a contact at overseas who is available online). but it is a good start on defining /claiming free information infrastructures & free standards. You can see the glimpses of a micro neo-nomad collective at http://wiki.benn.org/NeoNomadCollective Anivar -- Anivar Aravind moving Republic Peringavu.P.O Thrissur-18 Kerala http://anivar.movingrepublic.org/about --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ greenyouth mailinglist is the activist support mailinglist for kerala To post to this group, send email to [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
