Dalitbahujan critique- Earlier Gail omvedt herself pointed out the crisis of an exclusive Dalitbahujan space.Even phule himself tried to be so.But he failed.we have been witnessing a negative identitarian politics in indian context.caste/sub-caste identity has a hegemonic presence over the dalitbahujan space.Caste patriarchy is suppressing an active life praxis Who speaks-Chaya dattar had raised this question in Maharastrian context.This is also true in every social context.Most probably,the most articulated section of the community speaks.poor working class dalit women who are becoming just an onlooker.Maratha nuasuabum's capability theory gives certain insights.Untill and unless a capacity to speak for a dalit woman, is she a just pre-political subject? --- jenny chithra <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
