I didn't understand the meaning of your diatribe. The Sangh parivar's denunciation of Gandhi is as much despicable as that of the Mufti, no doubt. But the Mufti's pronouncement is unique in the sense that, till now, nobody, even the worst elements of the Bajrang Dal, have warned people of physical harm for praising Gandhi.
>albeit in the sensitive context of a majority of population having enstranged from other parts of India thanks to a hindu-ised, majoritarian , manipulated and extra-legal concept of Nationhood/Patriotism What exactly does this mean? Naionhood/Patriotism is the reason for estrangement of people? Can you explain how a majority of people are estranged by it? And why is the concept of nationhood 'extra legal'? That the Sangh parivar preaches an aggressive variety of nationalism doesn't mean the concept of nationhood is itself 'extra legal'. 'We don't need no national boundaries because we are peace lovers' is as much practical in a real world as 'we don't need no law enforcement because we are not quarrelsome'. Unfortunately, Pakistanis and Chinese do not understand our magnanimity, and care even less. I find it interesting that people who denounce nationhood in the loudest terms find no problem with 'sub-nationhood': not only that, the aggressively promote subnationalism too. That the so called sub-nationalities are based on much more narrower and parochial communal and linguistic considerations than Indian nationalism, and seek to establish non-democratic, one-religion theocracies hardly seem to bother them.
