i think Dileep has raised  a relavnt question especiallyin the third
world/developing world context.
the habermasian concept f public sphere has been challenged by feminists
though the cyber space assuems the possibily of  more nuanced interventions,
the question of access and the role "moderators" play in maintaing the "law
and order", not to mention the ontological positioning of these debates and
its judgmntal intrpretations that define in "totality" these virtual
interactions

post colonial societies like ours has to re-look and re-invent the notion of
the "public" and
public spaces"...whats and whos of defining the "ideal" and consrtcting
commensencal normativity....has to be problematised
