ref.cpim's 18 th and 19th congresses have already established a new approach to caste question.and the assertions of subaltern movements in india have given a new approach.leaders like anil sarkar(tripura culture minister) has openly written poems on dalit issues . and he has seen mayavati's assertion very positively. and intellectuals like javeed alam has seen a new secular development in these oppressed communities.earlier ,sitaram yechuri article( on the assertions of obc-sc and s.t politics in india-communalism combat,2000)had praised the positive contributions of dalit literature in indian society. anyway, new communitarian politics of indian subaltern section of the society has made a rethinking in the cpim politics.
