  Friends

It is a matter of great joy and happiness to announce the release of our next
book on 06

December in Bangalore. As usual this book is once again a ‘first’ as there has
never been

one like this before in the history of Indian literature. The name of the Book
is DYCHE, The

Dalit Psyche. It is a huge volume of 1100 pages. The basic purpose of writing
this book is to

integrate a psychological approach to Dalit liberation. However, as it has
turned out the

book will be good for any individual in building up a creative personality and
for any

community that is in need of healing. This book can become a solid foundation
for

establishing peace with freedom for all communities of people.

When we speak of Dalit liberation we are focusing as much on Dalit people as on
the rest of

the country, which has made this nation a land of untouchability. Healing in
this context is

necessary for all and not only for the wounded. Even those who have inflicted
wounds on

the psyche of others have operated from psychic compulsions, which are much
deeper

wounds than that of their victims.

Another special feature of this book is that it proposes a healing at the
psychological realm

of all people as a viable path to building a nationalism, which will provide
legitimate space

for all. This psychological approach to nation building may be of deep interest
to political

scientists and students.

There is ample enough noise raised about problems that beseech the nation
called India.

DYCHE proposes an approach of self-actualization of all oppressed people
without

necessarily waiting always for someone to strike at them in order to respond.
The book

does this without precluding the need for creatively responding to unexpected
assaults on

dignity and rights.

We are very sure that reading this book will be a festival of joy.

Therefore, DYCHE is being released on the Festival of Dalit Ancestors and we
invite you to

join the celebrations of releasing DYCHE. This is an occasion when all those
who are

concerned about creating a new India of Peace and Co-existence should join
hands and

show to the rest of the country that we are rising with alternative vision of
the world. There

needs to be an assertion that the Psyche of the Dalit people is a veritable
treasure trove for

a healthy world.

We shall also send you an official invitation either through email or through
surface mail. We

request you to block 06 December already now and make this release of DYCHE as
your own

function.

We give you some of the initial opinions on DYCHE.

Dyche is decisive break from an ideology of victimhood on to a weltaanschluug
that

encompasses the whole world – Anita Cheria

If Dyche will prick the conscience of India, it is a political reality that
cannot be avoided –

Prof. Nestor F. Gotis, Philippines

Dyche, an exploration of applied Psychology and Philosophy from an experience
of

engagement with peace and justice, is a logical progression in the authors’
series of books

from Dalitology to Dalithink, Cosmosity and Dalitocracy – Openspace

This is a pioneering work, where theory and solutions are crafted from
grassroots

experience, the existence of which ‘mainstream’ academe has little knowledge
and less

understanding – Edwin Das

The approach of Raj and Jyothi is most appropriate. The reason is both
practical and tactical.

Even those who are opposed and less caring to the Dalit cause can now be
transformed into

a disciple of truth. – Prof. Nestor F Gotis

Dyche is indeed a journey back into the future. The recouping of energy to
carry on the

journey will have to be at the level of psyche. The transformation of Dyche
into psyche will

serve as the gas station in this journey of reconstruction of psyche and along
with that also

the reconstruction of Indian nationalism, which is the spirit of brotherhood
and sisterhood.

Dyche is a worldview that has the world in its view. – Openspace

Hoping to see all of you in Bangalore on 06 December 2008 and with warm regards

Jyothi and Raj
