He added the constitution drafting process will resume soon after the consensus. “The Maoists will stop all the protests and let the legislature-parliament run immediately after agreement on allowing debate on the President’s issue for civilian supremacy is reached on any angle,” Dahal said at a press conference organised by the Revolutionary Journalists’ Association in Bharatpur. He informed the Maoists have floated the proposal, to other parties, on searching alternative by arranging the provision for debate on President in constitution amendment. According to Koirala, the two parties also decided to keep intact the current coalition government until next general election. Prime Minister Nepal called the meeting in his bid to find a way out of the stalemate. On Friday, he had met NC president Girija Prasad Koirala to discuss the possible solution.
