That's truly moronic!. The Chernobyl disaster was first alerted by Sweden, NOT the then USSR where it happened. The very first response of the USSR was to just hush it up, as much as possible. That's for a catastrophic disaster which had actually happened. And, here it has eventually been averted, as the caption categorically notes. (Just day before yesterday (on 7th) we had a testimony from one from the Ground Zero.)
