*Vishwas Bhamburkar* <http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=678802288> Deal All,
This is an email sent by my mother to Ms. Coomi Kapoor of Indian Express. I get the whiff of a major scam waiting to be unearthed - I am posting it here in case any there are any journalists on this forum who might be interested. Regards, Vishwas Dear Ms. Kapoor, I had partly based an application for information under Right to Information Act, 2005 on what you had written in your column on 22.08.2004. You may recall that you had reported about the instructions by Dr. Rajiv gupta, IAS, Private Secretary to the Minister of Textiles asking all files to be routed through him. the Secretary (Textiles) had expressed his objections to this following which the order was quietly withdrawn. I am sure the article will be available in the Indian Express archives. Coming to my RTI application, on the basis of my application, enough evidence seems to have emerged to show that Dr. Rajiv Gupta was 'missing in action'. while the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat, in response to an RTI application claims that Dr. Rajiv Gupta was on Central Government deputation as Private Secretary to Minister for Textiles, the Ministry of Textiles does not seem to have any knowledge of this! This, and a lot of other hitherto unknown facts are likely to emerge at the second sitting of the Second Appeal hearing scheduled before Prof. M. M. Ansari, at Room No. 207, August Kranti Bhavan, Bhikhaji Cama Place, New Delhi, on 20.07.2010 at 12:30pm. Please feel free to attend this if you feel anything of consequence or news value will emerge out of this. However, there is one more reason for writing to you. Since the Minisrty of Textiles is refusing to acknowledge that Dr. Rajiv Gupta had anything to do with it, I would like to have a copy of any documents that you might have to back your report of 2.08.2004. This will help me nail the lies of the Ministry of Textiles at least to some extent. Thanking you. Best Regards, Uma S. Bhamburkar B/72, Satellite Center, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad : 380 015.
