Organising a press conference at Hotel Radisson in Kathmandu on Saturday, the rival Maoist faction also announced that it will exert pressure on PM for resignation "from the street, parliament as well as internally". Party secretary C.P Gajurel said that they want PM Bhattarai to resign within a week because the government's activities are anti-people and anti-nationalist. “We will put pressure on government from all the quarters. It’s activities are against the nation and the people,” he said. According him, party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had assured them that PM Bhattarai would resign within a week but he didn't do so even after four weeks. The party hardliners have been accusing the party establishment of failing to implement the decisions of the Central Committee to form national unity government, among others.
