Jaipur: Much to the discomfort of the ruling BJP, a short film based on the
problems of the unemployed youths in Rajasthan will be released on October
21. The film was made two years ago, but the BJP government had banned it.

Dastan-e-Berojgar (Story of Jobless) has been made by the unemployed youths
under the banner of “Rajasthan Berojgar Ekikrit Mahasangh”. “The film will
be released on two YouTube channels on October 21,” said Upen Yadav, the
state president of the Mahasangh.

The film depicts the struggles of the youths for job and their sorry state.
“The BJP government was not comfortable with this film since it failed to
fulfil the promise of providing 15 lakh jobs in five years,” he alleged.

Prior to the Assembly election in 2013, BJP had promised 15 lakh jobs if it
came to power. After keeping silent for three years, it began to claim that
jobs were being created as promised but steadfastly refused to provide
evidence to support its claim.

To rub salt to injury, when Mr Yadav went to give a memorandum to BJP state
president Madan Lal Saini, the latter told him that he was only interested
in creating “ruckus”. “I bet you won’t be able to stop your tears after
watching the pain and agony of a jobless young man in the film. It is not
just about financial hardship, but also the mental stress they suffer
because of an insensitive and careless system,” Mr Yadav said while
requesting people to watch it.

The Rajasthan Berojgar Ekikrit Mahasangh has already formed an army of 1
lakh volunteers, who would campaign against BJP for not just making false
promises, but also for its insensitiveness in dealing with them.
