Mac OSX is a flavor of FreeBSD, in case you did not know, so porting
from Linux to OSX is usually not a major problem. To make gcc happy
with gregorio, all I did was add an "#include <wchar.h>" in struct.h.
The second item was to use a later version of flex. The default flex
for OSX is 2.5.4, which, incidentally, is also the version of flex on
our Red Hat Linux boxes. I installed flex 2.5.33 into a working
directory and modified the Makefile to use the new version instead of
the standard one. The issue with flex seems to be the command line
arguments, so perhaps a simple modification of the Makefile would
take care of it. I do not use flex myself, so I am not sure what is
needed. Since flex 2.5.4 is so common, you might look into allowing
configure to adjust things depending upon the current flex version.

I will give it a try and see what happens. I have installed Tex
fonts before (OpusTex), now all I have to do is recall how I did it. :-)
