Yes. The modification needed to be done earlier in the process as it
effects the building of the fonts.
The change, however, is now in the develop branch so the best solution
is probably to pull all the chances from develop down and then start
your build/install all over again:
make maintainer-clean
git pull
./build.sh --arch=x86_64 --force=autoreconf
sudo ./install.sh
