I recently added a chant to the title page of GregorioRef. However,
since this chant is not complete, I would like to put a manual custos at
the end (e+) I tried putting (:e+) but the custos is lost because the
bar sticks to the end of the line. If I put (:) (e+), the manual custos
appears on the next line, and a normal end of line appears on the prior
line after the bar, but at the wrong pitch (at g).

>From the code, I know why the pitch is wrong, and I can fix that with a
bit of effort, requiring the manual custos to become a full-fledged
glyph type in the C code, but even after such a fix, I still either get
no custos with (:e+) or a double custos with (:) (e+) (although at the
right pitch). I'm not sure the C code change is worth it (although
there is a comment in the C code looking for a "cleaner solution").

I think the real fix would be to fix the (:e+) figure so that the custos
is not lost if the bar would normally be set at the end of the staff.
However, I've tried a few things to accomplish this, and whatever causes
this to happen in the TeX is a bit beyod my ability to understand
without some help.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Henry
