This change would be very welcome!

If the problem is in TeX, it might be because the last syllable sets
something like \greblockcustos, that prevents \grecusto from working...
so \gremanualcusto (I'm inventing names a bit here, the real ones might
be different) should force \grecusto to work... I'm quite focused on
Gregorioa4o now, but it should be finished soon, I'll take a look
afterwards if you're still stuck.
