Is it possible to control the length of the left-hand descender on a
clivis? To see what I have in mind, please see D3 on the pdf compared
to the same neume on the jpg. I acknowledge that this is a very small
aesthetic point, but I would just like to know if the user can control
    these sorts of things. Thanks!

Hello,

the (numerous) glyphs are "hardcoded" directly in a font, so no, you
cannot directly and simply change it... But you can modify the font, by
modifying the greciliae-x.pfb on your system, with x a number you'll
have to find, but that should be 0 or 1. For this modification you just
have to modify the .pfb (with fontforge for example), as the width,
height and depth won't be changed, you don't need to also change the
tfm, ofm, etc. You can also create you own font, even if te process is a
bit more tricky, you can find some basic informations here :
http://home.gna.org/gregorio/gregoriotex/fonts.fr.html (looks like I
forgot to translate it).

Thank you,
