Yes, I am using lamed.exe main.tex, and Texlive2009. The gabc file was
copied from the problem file.
One thing I tried was to reduce the gabce file to just the first Kyrie,
eliminating temporarily the Christe eleison and the last Kyrie eleison. It
worked fine. Then I added the Christe and the problem occurred.
Is it correct to say that in order to use lualatex that one must first
uninstall Texlive2009 and re-install Texlive 2008? Should I uninstall
Texlive2009?

Hello,
Are you using lamed to create your score? Can you switch to lualatex?
Anyway, that's a strange error to even come up, because I don't see
any ictus markings in your gabc file. In fact, I ran it on my machine
and it works ok. Is the gabc you sent copy/pasted directly from your
problem file?
