You can use the macro \addspaceabove to set extra whitespace above the
staffline, then (inside the score's tex file) locate the point at
which you wish to make an annotation and use \abovelinestext
{someSign}. These are defined at the very end of gregoriotex-
syllable.tex. The default text style is small italic; you can use
\abovelinestextstyle{} to change this.
