Dear Jeff,
I think the problem is that you have manually added the "-" but not
added the centering characters in that instance: char-(g)i-(f)ty.(f.)
Whereas in the other instances you either don't have a manual dash or
you have added the brackets:
[1] char-(h){i}-(f)ty,(f_) (,)
[3] char-(h){i}(f)ty,(f_) (,)
[4] char-(g){i}-(f)ty.(f.) (::)
I think it's generally better to not add the dashes manually, but to
rather add extra space in the chant notation [e.g.: (f )] in order to
have Gregorio add the dash; others might have different approaches to
this.
