Jacob (chant AT saintmeinrad DOT edu) made it clear: "Just for the record, we do retain the rights to the fonts." I do not know if he would be OK to release the Meinrad fonts under and open-source license. I note also that the St Gall Meinrad font has twice as many glyphs as the gregedit St Gall font.
