This sort of works, but I still have to manually determine the number of
spaces needed for each syllable or insert several spaces after each
neum, ending up with the much more spacing than I need.  I was hoping
for something that would only insert as much space as was needed to make
sure the hyphen showed up regardless of the length of the syllable or
the neum.
