Hi all,

For a long time I have been engraving Gregorian chants with Gregorio and
typesetting booklets using the following procedure: first creating a pdf with
Gregorio, then importing the pdf into Adobe Illustrator to make edits and
adjustments, and finally placing the pdf into Adobe InDesign. (For creating a
pdf, I use http://illuminarepublications.com/gregorio/)

Ever since some time, I get errors when importing the Gregorio pdf into
Illustrator. Upon opening the pdf, Illustrator lets me know that some chant
fonts are missing, and that they will be replaced by a substitute font,
producing an awkward rendering of the score: many neumes and characters are
represented by large rectangles or missing altogether. For an example, see
http://www.kleingraduale.nl/images/pdf-in-illustrator.png

It seems that this problem arose after one of the recent updates of Gregorio. I
suspect that previously, outlines were created of all neumes, and that this is
now done differently.

Does anyone encounter the same problems? Am I correct that the way Gregorio
produces pdfs has been changed? How do I solve the problem?

Thanks for any help on the issue!

Best regards,

Steven van Roode
