I have had a great deal of trouble in the past with the pkg file. I do not 
recommend it. For one, it installs things in the wrong place. I'm not sure how 
it will work with the SVN version. I've recommended folks delete the .pkg 
installation and compile directly from SVN. Yes, it is harder to set up, but 
once you do, the updates are easy and you do not need to wait around for the 
.pkg to be updated (which I believe is out of date by over a year now).
