Thank you for your response, Elie. I am typesetting within the “test.tex”
document. Here is a longer description.

I am following these instructions on the Gregorio website.

http://gregorio-project.github.io/introduction-editor.html
<http://gregorio-project.github.io/introduction-editor.html>

I have open “test.tex,” and I hit typeset within this file. I renamed
PopulusSion.gabc and made it example.gabc. Now my “test.tex” file looks like
this:

% !TEX TS-program = LuaLaTeX+se

\documentclass[11pt]{article}

\usepackage{fontspec}

\usepackage{gregoriotex}

\begin{document}

\includescore{example.gabc}

\end{document}

In the dropdown menu, I have LuaLaTeX+se.

My “example.gabc" file looks like this:

% !TEX TS-program = LuaLaTeX+se
% !TEX root = main-lualatex.tex

% The first part of the score is called the header, you can input some useful
informations here:

name: Populus Sion;
office-part: Introitus;
occasion: Dominica II Adventus;
date: 2006;
transcriber: Elie Roux;
transcription-date: 2006;
style: modern;

% Then, when gregorio encounters the following line (%%), it switches to the
score, where you input the notes

%%

% The syntax in this part is called gabc. Please refer to
