Hi all.

I'm currently writing a specialty items commercial site hosted on a
remote server which is expected to have low to very low traffic.
Having picked up the basics of mySQL and PHP I've been setting the
purchasing section of the site up as follows: product categories,
leading to sub-categories, leading to sub-category listing with
thumbnails & PayPal "Buy Now" facility. Clicking on the thumbnail or
the product title takes me to a single item page giving a full
description and a PayPal "Add to cart" facility for multiple item
purchases.

Easy enough once I figured out the aforementioned languages. I just
didn't like the last page though - too scrappy and would need links to
go back & forward by a sub-category product to make it worthwhile.
Okay, so I decided to cheat and do popups for the last page. Ugh - IE
aside, quite Firefox unfriendly. Looked around further and found
GreyBox - which is *perfect*.

Minor problem - I can't get it to work. From the site at least. If I
try to call the URL of the item, it opens a new tab in Firefox,
regardless of settings. However, if I run the code's Examples page
from my desktop, substituting one of the page-centred links for the
one I want from the website - it works fine and I can "Buy Now" to my
heart's content.

Going through the install process, I've FTPd the greybox folder to the
site and tested that I can read gb_scripts.js file by going to the URL
from my location. I've included the SCRIPT and CSS segments in the
header of a test file. But it only opens a new tab when I call a URL
from the page - this includes the ones from the examples which I
copied into the file as well.

So. Have I missed something important or am I just dense? Is this
something that requires a particular service of the hosting site to be
enabled or should it "just work"? Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
