Failing to pad the frame out satisfactorily with either B1/B2 or pic, I'm using tbl, with empty left & right cells to push the frame out acceptably. Vertical is easy, with just a blank line, or .sp, if finicky. And tbl's doublebox is a bonus. I'll have to have another go at footers. I'm still not holding my mouth right.
