How do I make the localisation guys' job easier, since most of the
text in the old version is still good?

I haven't tried this, but it looks like you can use ibtool --generate-
strings-file on each of the translations, then dup the English nib
over each one and use ibtool --strings-file to re-load the
translations into them.

Also, please wait until we (I) merge the Xcode 3.1 branch back to the
default branch. That way, you get to make the change in a xib file
rather than a nib file, practically eliminating the possibility of
conflicts.

(If you don't want to wait, go ahead and make the change in your Xcode
3.1 branch, and ping me to pull it after the merge. It would be
interesting to see how well hg handles that situation.)

iLocalize allows localizers to reset their nibs to the English layout (getting any changes) without losing the text changes. I generally recommend allowing this to be done rather than spending your time trying to update the localized nibs.
