Hi,
I found severeal similar topics but none helped in my case.
Evreytime I start Mail I get this message that I have to click away.
It says approximately (I have to translate it):
campitibility warning
Mail deactivated the following installed packages:
GrowlMail
Please contact the manufacturer of these packages to receive a version
that is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Mail.

As you see, I work with OS X 10.5.5 Mail.
Growl 1.1.4 previously 1.1.2 (I believe it was)

Today I have tried to uninstall growl via the uninstallation package
and had the same error messages everyboda seems to get; i.e. searching
for several files like growlhelperapp ...

That did not work so I tried the described way in the uninstallation
video: growl preferences,
disabeling the boxes, stopping growl and deleting the prefpane. The
message still comes on.

Then I found a hint about disbeled bundles in the Mail folder. Deleted
it - message stays.

At last I searched the whole computer and seperately in the library
everything containing the keyword growl with spotlight and deleted it
all.

Unfortunately the message still comes and I have to click it away -
very annoying every time Mail starts.

What did I do wrong / forget / miss?

Thanks for any help!!
MJ
