Since upgrading to 10.5.6 I also am having trouble with Growl.
Overnight with Mail running, Growl locks it up. I can still write a
message, but can not save it or send it. I have to quit and re-launch
Mail, which loses the message written. When I am typing and a
notification comes, typing stops, nothing else can be entered. Several
other sorts of mis-behavior with this upgrade. Hopefully it will be
addressed for it is a wonderful program on which I lean heavily.
